Our wish list ensures you will receive email notifications when we anticipate new litters, when puppies are born, and when we have retiring parents. No one is ahead or behind you, we work on a first come first serve basis to keep it fair. So, if you see a litter you're interested in, you just respond to our email requesting your FaceTime appointment. You may also unsubscribe at any time at the very bottom of our email.
Puppies Born- After puppies are safely delivered, we will notify everyone on our wish list via email first. This will give everyone on the wish list the first opportunity to book a Zoom appointment. For the safety and security of our animals we do not allow any visitors on our property until the day of pick up. To circumvent that, we do a Zoom appointment with potential puppy buyers so they can meet us, the parents, and see the whole litter. We do not accept any payments until after you have selected a puppy. To maintain the integrity of Halo Schnauzer and keep the process as transparent as possible we work on a first come first serve basis.
Payments- We accept payments through Good Dog which accepts all Debit or Credit cards, and direct bank checking transfers. pay.gooddog.com/halo-schnauzer
After you select a puppy- Prior to our Zoom appointment we will send you our contract to review which details what we will provide with the purchase of the puppy and roles/responsibilities for each party. We take half the purchase amount within 3 business days of selection which is not refundable but is transferrable. The other half will be due the date of pick up. At Halo Schnauzer you get to watch your puppy grow. We do weekly photoshoots on our Facebook and Instagram pages @haloschnauzer so you can get to know their colors and characteristics. Upon request we set up extra Zoom sessions for you and your puppy. At 6 weeks old we send out an email to confirm registration details for your puppy and set an official pick up date.
Pick Up Day- Between 8-9 weeks of age the puppies will be ready to join their furever homes. You will get to come to our home and tour our puppy nursery, meet the parents, and see everything behind the scenes. We will go through all the paperwork with you, address any questions you may have, and go over your puppy specifically. If you're willing, we also love to take photos of you and your family with your new puppy to share with our Halo Schnauzer family. But our involvement doesn't end there, we will always be a resource for you and your family. Need travel arrangements, we can arrange deliveries based on availability and are subject to $150 flat rate plus .65 cents per mile roundtrip. If over 6 hours one way an overnight charge of $200 will apply. If you are unable to pick up your puppy during the arranged 4-day period selected at 8-9 weeks of age, we will charge a boarding fee of $250 per week after 10 weeks of age.
Thank you for your interest in becoming part of the Halo Schnauzer family! Part of what makes us stand out from other breeders is the amount of individual attention and care we give each puppy. We keep a small in-home operation on purpose so that we have one on one interaction with each puppy every day for their socialization, training, and sensory work. Although we can’t guarantee temperament or personality, we put a lot of effort into ensuring well-mannered well-trained puppies go home. They are groomed prior to going home and introduced to the buzzing of the clippers as soon as their born so they are comfortable being groomed and handled. We touch their foot pads and hold them in various positions to ensure their comfortable being handled. We expose the puppies to several different types of potty areas to start the potty-training process as soon as their born. Many of our puppy owners' comment on how impressed they are with their potty training from day 1 of going home. But they will need consistency to maintain that training when they go home. We put every effort into producing healthy Miniature Schnauzers with great temperaments and fun personalities.
Miniature Schnauzers have way more pros than cons in my book, but its important to know about the breed prior to purchase. Here are a few:
Hypoallergenic
Super Soft
People oriented
Big Personalities
Easy to Train
Healthy & Hardy
Alert/Watch Dogs
Can be active, lazy, or a mix of activity
(Whatever your doing, they want to do)
Grooming (at least once a week)
Ear Infections (keep ear hair removed, and ear cleaned to prevent)
Stubborn (sometimes)
Barking/Singing (ours are pretty quiet)
Prone to Pancreatitis (important to not over feed, and to keep protein 28% or less and fat 17% or less)
Boredom (They are intelligent, so keep their mind sharp with toys & activities)
They're bred to hunt small vermin (they need to be raised with cats/small critters, and trained if you don't want them to eat them)
We absolutely love our Miniature Schnauzers. It took a great deal of effort and time to find our perfect companions for our home. After raising, training, genetically testing, and loving them we knew our babies were something special. Not all Miniature Schnauzers are created equally, our babies come with all the goods genetically not to mention the exclusive benefits of purchasing with our litters.
Our doggy parents are our pets, and get to play and train like they would in your home. We breed our babies not just because their ideal, but also because it's fun. Who doesn't want a home full of puppies? Well maybe some, but for us this is fun and rewarding.
My husband and I have owned an array of animals and breeds over the years, but it was the miniature schnauzers that had us forever sold. We started with getting Dutchess and couldn't believe how well-mannered and intelligent she was. Her personality was so big, it didn't feel like any dog we've had before. We were so in love, we added Saber.
I raised/bred livestock growing up and was a part of my FFA's specialty animals' group which taught me so much about animal care and veterinary skills. Because of this, along with lots of research, we decided to start breeding these beauties. It was the best decision we ever made and continue to make because it brings so much joy into our lives and the puppies families lives. It's so incredibly rewarding to find such loving homes for our puppies and getting to know the families and watching them grow. We love how every schnauzer we've brought into our home has their own personalities, and quirks. They are truly such a fun breed.
The health and temperament of our dogs is paramount, but a close second is ensuring transparency through the process. While acquiring our babies, we found there are many scammers out there. And even if you do find a reputable breeder, it's so difficult to get pictures and information about your new addition or their parents. So we make it our mission to ensure you feel comfortable and aware throughout the process.
It's essential as a customer that your assured your getting what your paying for, so we believe in 100% transparency. Below are the pedigree's and genetic testing certificates for our dogs for reference. If you would like additional information, please feel free to reach out.
